Outfit of the day 28/5/2012

So today I'd last exam ever day! Thought this day would never arrive!! And yet again it is gloriously sunny outside.

So today I'm feeling rather patriotic so I have my soldier skirt from Cath Kidston on (will be PERFECT for next week!!) and I've just tucked a simple new look short sleeved t shirt into it. It has little rolled up sleeves an a little pocket on the chest, goes with almost anything. Jewellery is just my gold bracelet (never comes off) because I think it's too hot to wear anything fussy. Then on my feet are asos white pumps with little frilly asos socks, which look really cute.

Wish me look!

Outfit of the day 25/5/2012

So exam number 2 today, but it's gorgeous and sunny today so I'm wearing urban outfitters coral crop top, asos royal blue midi skirt, new look brown suede pumps and a topshop denim jacket for later.

Jewellery is a heart with an E on it necklace from urban outfitters and my standard gold bracelet.

The Sun Has Got His Hat On!!

The sun may have his hat on, but I certainly don't have mine on. Exam tomorrow, so I'm fully in revision mode. Plus where I live only had a teeny tiny yard, which is not suitable for sunbathing!! So for now I'm stuck like this.

But only till Monday and the I shall never have to do an exam ever again!! And my masters of chemistry will be complete, and I can move on to the next stage..... Phd, I know I'm crazy!! But I get paid to do it!! And I get called Dr. at the end of it... Totally worth it.

So for know I'll have to stay pasty and white indoors getting my geek on... Let's pray the weather is here to stay!!

Golden Rules of Exam Time

Now of course there are the normal rules like, revise properly, do practice exams, make a time table blah blah blah.... but I think there are some more important things to consider. I have come up with a few during my masters...

  1. Even though it is your exams you can still make an effort, no one wants to see a spotty tracky wearing mess sitting in front of them in the library
  2. Get proper sleep, bags under your eyes are super hard to get rid of and ugly
  3. Don't moan to your friends about how hard your degree is, (especially if you don't do a science....) no one cares!!
  4. Eat properly!! You don't need spots stressing you out too!!
  5. Don't pay any attention the boys strutting round the library in their Jack Wills shorts and flip flops, they are just posh idiots who mummy and daddy have wasted a lot of money on
  6. Drink loads of tea because it is just the solver of all problems
  7. Find some one off your course to have a good bitch about the lecturers to
  8. Don't bring noisy foods to the library, it pisses everyone off
  9. Make an effort to look especially good on the day of the exam, then you can be like 'oh I've been revising, but I naturally look this good'
  10. And relax, it's just a bit of paper....

Ten Secret Things Good About Revision Time

Now as it's that time of year we all dread, a time of GCSEs, A-levels, university second semester exams and generally very nasty horribleness. Although, through my many many years of exam experience I have found there are a few little perks that do come with this time of year.
  1. Getting to hang round in your jim jams all day!!  (or as others call them- pjs)
  2. Eating loads of junk food because you are 'too busy revising'
  3. Being able to 'revision treat' yourself with that dress that has been eyeing you up all month!
  4. Drinking endless amounts of tea to keep you going
  5. Strutting around the library wearing you glasses pretending you are dead clever
  6. Your mum washing your clothes because you are 'too stressed' to do it yourself
  7. Moaning loads about how hard your degree/subject is to everyone ( I LOVE a good moan)
  8. Taking days off work to 'revise'
  9. Having a lie in!! (I have plenty of 9 o'clock lectures normally)
  10. And of course the massive partying afterwards!!

And so without exams, we would not have all these sneaky little good things that come with all the tears, tantrums and many sleepless nights of exams time.
